In the competitive world of airline catering, where food safety and product quality are paramount, gategourmet UK has taken significant steps to enhance its cold chain operations.
In the fast-paced world of airline catering, maintaining high standards of food safety and product quality is crucial. At gategourmet UK, it was important to upgrade the temperature-controlled facilities at DC5 Prologis Park. Such improvements are essential to ensure that we continue tackling the increasing demands for quality and safety in food preparation and storage.
To address this challenge, gategourmet UK partnered with Cold Clad, a specialist renowned for its expertise in cold chain construction. Together, a state-of-the-art temperature-controlled environment that would support the company’s rigorous operational needs, was implemented.
The project involved an array of enhancements, including an Internal Whitewall (a total of 903 square meters), Ceiling Panels (additional 501 square meter of Kingspan Quadcore panels), Doors & Windows (ungraded to Portiso doors—sliding, hinged, and non-insulated), Wall & Corner Protection and Flooring.
These improvements do not only improve the safety and quality of the company’s facilities but also showcase our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
The modern temperature-controlled environment optimizes food safety and product quality while also enhancing operational efficiency.
Through this collaboration, gategourmet is becoming better equipped to meet the challenges of the industry and ensure that its products adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
