After last year’s spectacle in Dubai, the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup brought the heat to Seychelles, and not just on the pitch. From May 1 to 11, the island nation became a global hub for sport, celebration, and yes, serious catering logistics. With players, officials, staff, and guests arriving from around the world, FIFA entrusted Skychef Servair, the local Servair subsidiary, with feeding the entire tournament. True to form, they came through with seamless execution and signature flair.

Services kicked off on April 23, with staff meals for early arrivals. But the real test began as the matches did, with daily service of lunch, dinner, and snacks for hundreds of people, from May 1 through the tournament’s final day. For Skychef Servair, the task was as massive as it was momentous. This wasn’t just about keeping people full, it was about keeping operations smooth, players energized, and guests impressed. And Skychef rose to it, plating up efficiency, excellence, and just a little Seychellois flair.

On the pitch, the tournament culminated in an epic showdown. Brazil claimed the title, reaffirming their dominance in beach soccer. Their path to victory featured commanding performances and standout goal scorers who thrilled fans and overwhelmed opponents. The final was a celebration of elite skill, gritty determination, and iconic flair—the kind Brazil’s beach team is famous for.
As the confetti rained down and celebrations erupted, the Skychef team had already clocked another win: a flawless food service record across 11 days of competition, with meals served to athletes, FIFA officials, media teams, and special guests. Behind every goal was a system that worked around the clock to support the tournament’s success.

High stakes, high standards catering at an international level is never simple, but doing it on a remote island, in sync with a world-class sporting event, is a unique challenge. Supply chains, food safety, dietary restrictions, timing, and presentation all had to be managed with precision. But this is exactly where Skychef excels. Following their involvement at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024, this World Cup was another chance to prove that Servair’s local branches can operate at global standards. For the Seychelles team, it was a proud moment—not just as service providers, but as ambassadors for their country.

Whether it’s a high-carb lunch for a semifinalist or a post-match recovery snack, what’s on the plate impacts performance and mood. But it’s also cultural. For many guests, this was their first visit to Seychelles, and Skychef didn’t miss the chance to showcase local ingredients and hospitality alongside international favourites. The blend of quality, efficiency, and identity is what made Skychef’s performance stand out. They weren’t just feeding people, they were contributing to the overall memory of the event.
